I just found out about the god favoring the world last night. I also found it that it seem to affect the damage to the foes I try to kill. Last night i bought a very nice bow and i was very please with its performance in game. today after seeing the gods do not favor the world message i noticed the performance of bow is almost useless. I do like this gods favor and do not favor the world feature because it keep the game interested and also challenging but my question is when I join the game how do i find out if the gods are in favor of the world or not?

I do not think i am, but the question i needed answered was answered in game. /favor tells me when the gods favor will change.

I'm gonna go with Onarik on this one. Think you might be looking too much into it. You probably just got a blessing from one of the shrines.

favour of the gods do not effect your damage.

I agree with everyone else. Favor has nothing to do with damage. As for finding out, type /favor.
